Takagi Farm, which we visited the other day. After strawberry picking, we went to La Trattoria Estorto, a farmhouse restaurant run by Takagi Farm.
Hall converted from a plastic greenhouse. Farmhouse restaurants have recently been increasing both in Niigata and nationally. Among them, this restaurant started by Takagi Farm is the original farmhouse restaurant, which started very early in the country.
It started in 2000 (Heisei 12). It's already been 14 years.
If you look at the ceiling, you can see that it looks like a vinyl house. This place was featured on Mezamashi TV and Zoom in Morning when it first opened!
La Trattoria Estorto has an order system at the entrance. There is a menu board at the entrance and a woman who takes orders.
We went in just as they opened for business so we were able to order smoothly, but after a few minutes there was a queue. The restaurant was full in no time.
I forgot to take a photo, but in addition to the menu board in the photo, there is a sheet with drinks and a guide to salads. Order each menu item and a salad for 300 yen, I believe. You pay on the spot and wait in your seat.
Incidentally, there were also many seats reserved as reserved seats. On holidays when it is likely to be crowded, it might be a good idea to make a reservation.
Ordered pasta and curry.
Spicy tomato sauce with takagi bacon and arugula. 'Estorto's signature tomato sauce, made with lots of farm tomatoes!' A copy of the book reads.
高儀情熱米「トマトたっぷりスパイシーチキンカレー」。こちらは「人気メニュー」の文字が。
The sausages on the curry are also made by Takagi Farm.
Both the pasta and curry were quite spicy. For a 'spicy' person like me, it might seem a bit too spicy. If you like spicy food, you will love it. The volume was quite large and tasty.
By the way, soup included. Minestrone.
And what surprised me this time was the 300 yen salad. The flavours of each vegetable spread surprisingly well in the mouth.
Moreover, the temperature of this salad is 'lukewarm'. When you think of salad, don't you have the impression that it is cold? But it is lukewarm.
This is because "you can taste the true flavour of the vegetables". It's true that it's hard to taste vegetables when they've been chilled, but when they're at their natural temperature, you can really taste them. This was really tasty.
Broccoli chopsticks (?) for salads. I guess it's called. I also used the scraps that grow around the big broccoli clumps after they have been harvested. It had a deep flavour too.
La Trattoria Estorto is a long-running and popular Takagi Farm restaurant. When you visit, don't forget to order a salad from the side menu!
