The town of Tsunan in Niigata Prefecture is known for its heavy snowfall. You have probably heard the name often in the press.
Snowfall of 2-3 m is normal; at the beginning of February 2022 there was around 350 m around the warehouse.

Brewing sake possible in a region with heavy snowfall

Tsunan Brewing's brewing only takes place during the snow season.
Good sake can be produced because the snow entangles and removes dust from the air, so the air is clear, and when snow is covered, low temperatures and high humidity can be maintained at a constant level, making it easier to control micro-organisms.
The low temperatures in the snowy storehouse create the perfect environment for ginjo sake brewing.

Melting snow spring water nurtured over 60 years
The water comes from the snow that falls on the mountains at an altitude of 2000 metres and is blessed with rich, limpid water, which has been selected as one of the best water sources in the world.
The river terraces gradually spring up water, which makes for a stable water resource and excellent brewing water with nutrients from the earth.
The water serves as the basis for Tsunan Brewery's sake brewing.

We came up with the GO & Snow (Goseki) Set, a sake set filled with snow, to be enjoyed by those who live in areas where it does not snow, those who miss the snow and those who cannot return home due to the Corona disaster.

The Go (GO) series of sake is carefully crafted using spring water from the mountains, where water for daily use is inaccessible, and carefully polished from the special sake rice Gohyakumangoku, grown on the river terraces that are also characteristic of the region.

The GO DINER is a perfect accompaniment to a meal.
This is a bottle that enhances a good meal and makes for a wonderful dinner.

Goh (GO) DOLCE is characterised by its fruity sweetness. This sake has such a sweetness that it is comparable to having it as a dessert choice.

Goh (GO) STANDARD, a light, dry sake with a clear, mellow taste.
A calm taste that blends in with everyday life as a lukewarm sake or as a mealtime sake. A bottle that allows you to fully enjoy the best of Niigata's sake.

Fill a Styrofoam (100-size courier) full of snow.
The snow quality can be fluffy or crunchy, depending on the year and month, but it delivers pure white snow.
