You sometimes see eateries with signs saying "Delicious XX", but rarely do you see eateries that advertise themselves as "Bad!". However, it is rare to find a diner that advertises itself as 'bad!
However, there is a diner in Niitsu that once won the title of 'Japan's worst ramen king' on a TV variety show, and carries that title on its curtain.
The name of the restaurant is Touka Shokudo (東花食堂).
Is it true that it's the 'worst in Japan'? To find out the truth, we visited Tohka Shokudo in Niitsu.

After a long wait, a piece of pork cutlet on top of a bowl of ramen noodles in an apparently plain-looking soy sauce broth was served.

Putting aside the taste of the ramen, the waitress was very kind! While I was waiting for my ramen, she served me pickles and when I finished my ramen, she offered me grapes for dessert, which are in season now.
In this world where all kinds of ramen shops appear and disappear, I think that if they were really bad, they would have gone out of business soon, but I felt that the reason why they continue to exist while holding up the curtain saying "not good" themselves is because of something that the kind old lady of the shop staff exudes.
