The town is lined with old brewing warehouses, buildings that have been registered as tangible cultural properties of Japan and Japanese fermented food. On the second floor is the atelier 'atelier m // Woodblock print studio' of a woodblock print artist living at nagaoka. Basically holds woodblock print courses and workshops by appointment only. They also hold exhibitions and sales of their works on an irregular basis. During the period when the exhibition is being held, the studio is open to the public, so anyone can enter without a reservation.
