I was wandering around on a weekday afternoon and I found it! Here it is.

BUTTER FIELD'S, Niigata Aoyama shop.

I have been using this restaurant for a long time because it is locally produced and consumed, and because it has low calories despite being pasta. This time, I took a closer look at the menu in front of the restaurant, and to my surprise, pasta and sweets are half price between 3pm and 5pm on weekdays! What a groundbreaking thing they are doing! Wow! There's no other choice but to go in!

So I went there with my mother!

The shopkeeper immediately brought a menueue for us to look at.

As either pasta or sweets were half-price per person, my mother ordered sweets and I ordered pasta respectively. When taking our orders and introducing the menus, the waiter was mid-stride. Low back.

While waiting for the food to arrive, we scurry around the restaurant.

Inside the shop

The wooden tables and chairs, the pictures on the walls, the lighting - all lovely!

The kitchen has a glass wall so you can see the food being cooked! It's not easy to find a restaurant like this.

In the meantime, the food came!

Nanban shrimps with americaine sauce

A slightly spicy sauce with a hint of bay leaves and plump nanban shrimps.

I actually had nanban shrimps the day before this (at Benkei!). I was lucky to enjoy a different taste! The same ingredient can have a completely different taste depending on the cooking method and genre of cuisine.

Country-style honey apple cake

Impressions after receiving a bite from my mother. A dusty taste, nicely enhanced by the sweetness of the apple. The powdered cinnamon (perhaps) in the foreground does not assert its aroma too much, but is subtle and flavourful.

You can usually get pasta and sweets for less than the price of a plate of pasta! What a bargain!!!

Recommended for a late lunch or a chat with friends! There's also an AEON food department on the same floor, so you can shop for dinner while you're happy!

Rice flour pasta! Redbeard's rice flour tagliatelle, recommended!

Vegetables are the star of these pastas. You can eat pasta even if you are on a diet! (LOL)
