Coworking spaces function as a place where freelancers, entrepreneurs and business people can work and interact with each other. The co-working space has also appeared in Numadari. It has only been open for a short time, but freelancers and others are actually using it.

How to use the system is simple. First, go through the procedures at the Terrace Office, located in the Numadari Terrace shopping street. At this time, declare the hours of use in advance. There are three patterns of use: 2-hour drop-in (500 yen), one-day use (1,200 yen) or monthly membership (15,000 yen). *Price excluding tax for each.

As it is the first time, we opted for two hours. After completing the reception, head straight to the lighthouse. The lighthouse is located on the second floor of the Sato Fruit and Vegetable Store in the Numadari Terrace shopping street. The entrance to the lighthouse is up a small flight of stairs on the opposite side of the main street.

The entrance opens into a rather exciting attic-like space. Large windows on both sides allow warm sunlight to illuminate the space on sunny days.

A large desk in the centre, a counter and a small desk and chairs by the wall. You can work on your own, read a book or talk with others. You can use it as you like.

The lighthouse also has a large collection of books.

I used the space myself a few times and found it a calm place to work and go to. I used to buy an iced coffee from the coffee shop before using the space and bring it in to work. At lunchtime, I could take a break at a restaurant in the shopping arcade. The fact that it is in a shopping street makes it a great place to spend the day.

In addition, there are two types of private rooms at the back, one smaller and one with a large desk spread out. The private rooms can be used with a monthly membership. This is a space where you can work in peace and quiet, and it is likely to increase your efficiency. If you are a frequent visitor to Numata, a monthly membership seems like a good idea.
