This article was written by the participants of the 'Regional Writing Camp' held in Takayanagi-cho, Kashiwazaki City from 10-12 March in collaboration with Niigata Ina College, a rural I-turn study abroad programme.
Niigata Prefecture is one of the most popular prefectures in the country for accommodation (hot spring resorts).
The village of Takayanagi-cho in Kashiwazaki, where I live, has four painfully clear seasons and is blessed with abundant nature. Jyonnobi" means... in the local language, "relaxing, taking it easy, and feeling good from the core", which can be fully enjoyed even on a day trip.
♨Soak in natural hot springs...

What you can't help but say is..."❤Jyon-nobi❤", "Ah~❤Jyon-nobi(*^_^*)".
The large public baths offer a spaciousness and encounter that cannot be found in home baths.
Taking a bath in a natural spa allows you to get away from everyday life for a moment and empty your head. Relaxation can help you come up with good ideas and have fun. It also helps to relieve stress and mental fatigue.
While soaking in the hot spring, be sure to take a look at the ceiling! The attic, with its magnificent intricate timberwork, is a representation of the thatched roof attics that used to be commonplace in Takayanagi. The magnificent thick beams give a glimpse of the ingenuity of the people of the past to endure the long, harsh winters here in this area of heavy snowfall.
♨The open-air baths allow you to cool down... and the breeze feels great❤.
You can talk to nature while being enchanted.
What you can't help but say is... "Jyonnobi❤", "Aa~❤Jyonnobi(*^. I'm so happy!"
Another pleasure♪ is the sound of nature playing in spring, summer, autumn and winter, morning, noon and evening.
Benefits of the natural hot spring "♨♨♨♨♨" [Rakuju no Yu]!
Even though I have a cold sore, my body warms up from the core and my skin becomes smooth and silky.
The spring is a sodium-hydrogencarbonate spring (formerly known as a sodium bicarbonate spring), which is brownish-brown and slippery. This spring water is also a beautiful skin care bath that women will appreciate, as it makes their skin smooth and silky. It is a great way to keep your skin looking young and beautiful, no matter how old you are.
The 'chloride hot spring', which does not easily cool down, has the same qualities as Matsunoyama Onsen, one of the three major medicinal hot springs in Japan. It is also a 'bicarbonate spring' that produces beautiful skin, the same as Akakura Onsen in Myoko City! This means that you can enjoy the best of the famous hot springs in the prefecture! So, for example, if you want to enjoy the quality and benefits of the "Matsunoyama♨, one of the three best medicinal hot springs in Japan" and the "Akakura♨ in Myoko City", you only need to visit the "Jyonnobi♨♨ Onsen" once!
Rates are very reasonable â
Despite the high quality of the natural hot springs, the normal admission fee is 600 yen for adults , 500 yen for those aged 65 and over and 400 yen for children (aged 3 to primary schools), which is very cheap! Despite such low prices, the museum is relatively quiet on weekdays, making it a good place to visit! It's perfect for those who have time to spare!
The special handmade ganmodoki made by Jyonnobi Mura Hyakunaikan is made into a hamburger, which can be enjoyed because it is such a weekday,
How about a 'cancer burger'?
This original burger has a tangy mustard mayonnaise and brings out the full flavour of the cancer.
At first glance, you might think, "Cancer... in a burger? What does it taste like?" But it's a great match and very tasty! And, moreover, the ingredients used for the ganmodoki are 100% Kashiwazaki-produced soya beans, so it's rich in nutrients, healthy and low in calories...
The "Ganmo Burger" is sold exclusively in the dining room on weekdays from 13:30 to 14:30!
I hope you enjoy your meal.
If I get a 'Cancer Burger' like you two, for sure! You'll want to pack it right away!
Your smile already tells the story - 'It's delicious 🎶♬♬'...
As well as a full day's enjoyment on a weekday, you can also stay overnight and save even more money with an online plan!
After you are refreshed by the ♨♨ at the Jyonnobi Onsen, you can visit the Jyonnobi no Sato Takayanagi's "scenic spots, craftsmanship and scenery" such as "Meisho-Teikanen", "Ishizuka Sake Brewery", "Guru Guru House Takayanagi", "Kayabuki Village Oginoshima" and "Echigo Monde Washi: Takashi-no Nama Paper Studio". You will definitely be able to "enjoy yourself" even more!
Why not take a drive in a "jyonnobi" mood?
I'm sure... you...
I can't help but say... "Jyon-nobi~❤", "Ah~❤Jyon-nobi (*^. I'm so happy..."
