And anyway, I can say that the population density of Niigata Prefecture is on a par with Europe. It is moderately densely populated.
There is just the right amount of urban, rural and vast land.
There are international and national-level events that cannot be opened without that vast area of land.
- Tour de Tsumari (wide mountain: part of the Echigo-Tsumari Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial).
- Fuji Rock Festiva (large ski area).
- Nagaoka Fireworks (wide riverbed)
- Niigata Sake no Jin (large room).
- Sado Earth Celebration (large island).
Appropriate relationship between people and land^.

It just runs on mountain roads, but only for those who can run.
Elite and aristocratic competitions where you need "fitness, skill and ambition" to run.

Fuji Rock, Naeba.
Japan's largest rock festival could only be held in the vast margins (downstream side) of the Naeba ski resort.
The event started elsewhere (Mt Fuji) but could not have been held very well without the Niigata environment. The name is just Fuji Rock, the nostalgia ^^.
