When that happens, you want to breathe in the natural air and move your body, don't you? You want to have a fun outdoor date with your favourite girl, don't you? I understand that feeling! The National Echigo Hillside Park in Nagaoka City is perfect for you! Read this article to get a taste of the fun of the hillside park and use it as a reference.

I really wanted to come to the park with my girlfriend, a beautiful woman who looks like Satomi Ishihara, but I have no such partner, so this time I have no choice but to go on a date with him in the picture.
The park opens at 9.30 am. We went on a Sunday and during the Fragrant Rose Festival, so there were many cars in the car park. There was also a long queue at the ticket office.
As it was during the event, there were takoyaki shops, gelato shops and stalls selling beer in front of the ticket office, so I bought a beer before buying a ticket. Beer in the daytime on a sunny day is the best! I thought, 'I don't want to go to the Rose Festival anymore, I want to stay here drinking beer all the time'.
After a pleasant beer, it's time to enter the park! Adult admission to the park costs 410 yen per person.

There was a garden with many different kinds of roses by the side of the entrance to the park. It was colourful, beautiful and healing! I want to punch myself for thinking a few minutes ago that I would rather have a beer than a rose festival.
I was told that it had a modern fragrance. As an inexperienced person, I still couldn't understand the fragrance. The Fragrant Roses Festival will be held until 19 June, so I will come back to the park during this period and try to understand the modern fragrance.
This time of year the garden is mainly roses, but depending on the season, tulips, cosmos and many other flowers are said to adorn the garden! As well as the gardens, there are many flowers and plants throughout the park grounds, so it's sure to be fun to find your favourite flower or plant with your favourite child!

I managed to climb the long flight of stairs, dripping with sweat. There was not a lookout but some kind of bell!
The viewing platform is said to be another 5-10 minutes' walk from here. Hey, how much walking... I'm already half heartbroken because I don't get enough exercise on a regular basis. But I'll do my best.

We rang the bells a lot with two men and started walking again to the observatory. And by the time we finally got to the lookout, all I felt was that I wanted to lie down now, because I didn't want the view or anything else.

美味しい料理を食べよう！
We were hungry after a lot of walking and it was just around lunchtime, so we decided to have lunch. There are several places in the hillside park where you can enjoy delicious food, so this time we went to Cafeteria Ciao, one of them. We had a wood-fired pizza and waffles for dessert.
I never thought I would be able to eat delicious freshly baked pizza and delicious waffles that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside in a park!
Cafeteria Ciao also had other seasonal pastas and sweets, which I hope everyone will try! Oh, but please note that Cafeteria Ciao is only open on weekends and public holidays. If you visit the park on weekdays, please go to the restaurant. The restaurant serves Niigata's famous tarekatsudon and Nagaoka Western-style katsudon, as well as many other dishes such as ramen and soba noodles. I also recommend the blue rose soft serve, which is a must-try for everyone!
It's delicious with a cool colour, a fresh aftertaste and a rose fragrance!

There are so many places to play and things to do in the hillside park that you can't play in a day!
The very popular Fluffy Dome. She jumped up and down, losing out to the children! You can even jump up and down with your favourite child and gently take her hand when she loses her balance.
You can also play in the water, which is perfect for the hot season ahead! You can get excited and splash around in the water, but be careful not to get soaking wet that you don't have any clothes to change into...
There is even such a thing as a transformable bicycle with several pedals! Looks like fun for the whole family! The people on the transforming bicycles all seemed to be having a lot of fun pedalling together! I also wanted to ride the transforming bicycle with my favourite child and head towards the goal of eternal love together.
There was also a reverse bungee jump. The sight of her flying high in the sky and then doing a big spin in the air. She's sure to fall in love with you already.
There were also many other playgrounds, walking trails and an open-air cooking area with BBQs. A hillside park with so many play spots. There are still plenty of ways to have fun! In summer and winter, there is a limited-time illumination! There are also hands-on classes with different content each time, such as making grass rice cakes and chimaki!
